The Office of the Assistant Vice President for University Academic Policy (AVPUAP) supports the president's academic and faculty relations responsibilities by working collaboratively with campus academic administrators who are members of IU's Academic Leadership Council (ALC) on a range of issues in a variety of contexts, including academic program development, faculty support and student success initiatives.
The ALC promotes the integrity and excellence of all Indiana University academic programs by assuring that new and existing academic programs on all of IU’s campuses meet the university’s high standards, by anticipating and resolving academic issues that arise among campuses, and by working collaboratively with the faculty on university academic policies.
