Elements is the new faculty activity tracking system at Indiana University, introduced in Fall 2024 to replace DMAI. In Fall 2025, two new Elements modules will be made available to all faculty: Annual Reviews with routing workflows and the Discovery public profile tool.
Elements captures and combines data from multiple internal and external sources to generate robust faculty profiles while reducing the need for manual data entry.
With the addition of workflow capabilities, Elements will allow departments to streamline the annual review process while providing robust reporting tools for data visualization and use.
The Elements Discovery Module offers faculty a user-friendly public profile that they can fully manage. Faculty have real-time control over their Discovery profiles, allowing them to update activities and adjust privacy settings directly within Elements at IU.
