Quick Links
APPEAR is available through One.IU.edu, or directly at https://one.iu.edu/launch-task/iu/appear. Frequent users may want to add APPEAR to the favorites in One.IU.
Programs that are submitted by the campus in the APPEAR system, approved at the campus level and are to advance to the Academic Leadership Council are considered "In Process." As these are not visible in the public view, status of these items is available at the link below (updated weekly).

Documentation of Approved Academic Programs and Actions
Monthly Academic Approvals
[SharePoint site - requires IU login. Each monthly report lists all post-campus approvals that were completed and with the date of final approval.]
Indiana Commission for Higher Education (ICHE) approval letters
[All state approving actions are accompanied by a letter of approval, whether it is a new program or a modification to an existing one. While these will be listed in the above monthly report, the ICHE letter is the official document of approval. These letters are also available within the IU Academic Program Inventory (API).]
APPEAR – Gaining Access
The public view of APPEAR is the default view unless users are authorized by the ALC for deeper access. The public view allows users to view the approved items and is searchable by campus and proposal types.
If authorized by the campus Chief Academic Officer or by the Academic Leadership Council, please email approval@iu.edu for access as an APPEAR initiator or reviewer. (FERPA compliance and completion of the IU Acceptable Use Agreement are required for APPEAR access.)
Refer to the APPEAR Initiator Job Aid for details on the use of APPEAR.
