The Office of University Academic Planning manages academic program approvals at the university level, including the development of new degree and certificate programs and changes to existing academic programs and organizations.
If you need help with the initial approval process at your local level, contact your Office of the Provost or Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
For questions about the university level process, view the proposal guidance page or contact approval@iu.edu as early as possible to discuss proposal development, review, and approval requirements. The Office of University Academic Planning will advise and coordinate with the appropriate contacts to effectively manage the post-campus review and approval.
