Discovery is a modern, easy-to-maintain interface that utilizes the personalized information and data collected within Elements@IU to populate well-rounded public profiles. Discovery profiles allow internal and external audiences to search by name, keywords, and disciplines.
Profiles can include biographical information, research interests, scholarly and creative works, grants and contracts, service and leadership activities, a teaching summary and teaching activities. Faculty can also include links to external sites, embed media such as YouTube videos, and showcase maps of IU-internal Collaboration Networks.
Faculty control the privacy settings for their profiles and activities, ensuring their profiles reflect their scholarship and contributions as desired.
Launching in the 2025-2026 academic year, Discovery Profiles will be available for all IU faculty.
